I'm looking for a 42-49" tv for gaming and movies and my budget is around 500-600€.

Seems like native +100hz panels are rare and expensive, so is the difference between native 100hz and 50hz tv so noticeable on PS4 and Wii U games since those are the consoles I will be using it on. Also the imput lag should be relatively small.

I will be hooking it up to my old laptop so the smart tv functions doesn't matter and I don't care about 3D or 4K as nor my consoles or laptop would benefit from those and I won't be taking my main PC to the livingroom.

I have been thinking about Samsung UE48J6202, but don't know how big the imput lag and hz is on that one.

Solution

I read one of the forum and they said that
a 100hz TV doesn't take a 100hz input, all they do is double up the frame to try to make transition frames to avoid ghosting.
Get one with Gaming mode like zero said.It would be better. 50Hz is fine unless you play a game where every detail matters

I know, but doesn't 50hz mean it displays maxium of 50fps or does the "fake" hz that most televisions have make up for the remaining 10hz?

I have PS4 and Wii U just for the exclusives and casual gaming so I guess a 50hz tv could be good enough.
Thanks for the help!
EDIT: I still could use some tv recommendations
EDIT 2: bought the Samsung UE48J6202. Thanks for the help again
