42 inch dead after power surge.

Hello. My 42 inch went dead after a power surge last month and won't power up. I removed the back and found a blown fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blew like a firecracker. Any suggestions?

Manufacturer, make and model of TV please- for example "Sharp LC-42LB15U" Then i can look it up, also, if you purchased and installed the wrong fuse it will of course blow right away and can even wreck other components. Please reply with the info on the TV and I will do my best to look it up for you and get you an answer, also where is the fuse located? is it on the mainboard? Or a side board that controls volume and what not... did you purchase the fuse from the manufacturer? Please post a link if possible to the fuse you purchased. After i get this info give me an hour or so and I'll come back with an answer for ya...
