4K@60FPS YouTube videos stutter terribly.

So I want to now, how does one watch 4K 60FPS video without stuttering. It drives me mad. Thanks in andvance 😉

You have my speedtest above, I'm running ASUS GTX670 DCUII, using Google Chrome. Browser as well as the system is installed on a 128GB Plextor SSD

yeah, your internet should handle it fine 😛 i can't help much then because i do not have a 4k display to test it on lol

I don't have a 4K display as well 😀 But the difference in quality between 1080p and higher resolutions is noticable even on a 1080p display. Chcek out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg_aIy9NHYU. BTW, 8K is stuttering as well :/

it stutters for me also, so maybe its because the display is trying to run a video that is in a higher resolution than it can handle? lol idk

What's the CPU usage? YouTube uses the CPU over the gpu

Yeah, that seems to be a problem. While watching this video 100% load on all 4 cores. So is there any walkaround except for overlocking or buying a new CPU?

Which cpu so it? What's the cpu usage when the video is not playing?

i5 3570K@3.4GHz. Funny, while idle it was 40% clocked at 3.7 GHz (probably turbo). It seemed too much, so I looked at running processes, and Google Chrome was using 30% of CPU (YouTube was closed). I killed it, but the browser didn't close, and everything within the browser works just fine, I'm writing this answer now. And CPU usage went down to around 7%

Do you have the HTML5 player enabled? Check YouTube.com/html5 to check. If you are still using Flash you will have issues.

If the above doesn't work I'd try a different browser

Yes, I'm using HTML5. I tried extension, that forces chrome to use flash player, but then the 4K option was not 60 FPS, so I've basicly had options from 144p to 2160p, but all of them 30 FPS. When using newest IE I can play it in 60 FPS, but the highest resolution I can chose is 1080p. Same with Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. I belive the only was to play a 4k60fps video on YT is to use Chrome in HTLM5 mode, but you can try it out yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UceRgEyfSsc
My CPU gets 100% load even if I'm playing a downloaded video. So what I should try to do is to force GPU to do the work instead of CPU, right? But I have no idea how do I get to it :/
