5.1 subwoofer is connected but no sound

I can’t get any sound out of my 5.1 subwoofer JBL. It’s connected to the bar but no sound from subwoofer. Please help

Need more details, no sound at all or no sound from the sub? You said 5.1 then said it's connected to the "bar" are you connecting a sub to a sound bar? Or do you have a full JBL audio system that is not working? Add some details about exactly what you have, how things are connected.
