tv problem :
I have a Panasonic tx-l42e3b and I want to connect a lg ht303 home cinema to get 5.1 real surround sound,lg only has scart or red/white connection,is there some sort of adapter to connect scart to hdmi or optical which the tv has ?
Hello, Red/White (called RCA) and Scart are only capable of carrying stereo sound. Even if you had an optical input on your LG, most TVs only output stereo anyway, connecting the outputs of your Panasonic TV to an surround sound amplifier by any kind of connection would still only ever give you stereo.
The normal way to set up surround sound is your source (PC/console/Blu Ray/Cable box) player plugged into your surround sound amplifier (with HDMI normally), then your surround sound amplifier plugged into your TV (also usually with HDMI).
