BTW, Guinness allows 10 minutes per hour as break and the minutes are stackable so you can play for 6 hours and sleep for an hour after that and still be qualified.

Oh please, I used to be a manager at a 24 hour Net Cafe. This customer played MU online 3 days straight and sat next to the vending machine.. Puhhleeze.

Are these guys the biggest nerds then? There is not one girl in the world that finds this impressive. These guys and doomed to a life of virginity and internet porn.

i [citation][nom]Sabiancym[/nom]Yes because all gamers are virgins. Way to revert back to the 90's stereotypes....you almost had to think of a clever response.[/citation]

they had better chances with the PS3. they may have set a record for world's shortest gaming session with the other system....

I love playing WoW and some other games, and I have been known to play Diablo 2 for up to 14 hours, but I don't think I could tolerate 50 hours.

I have a vague urge to try, now, though. Suicide by MMO. it sounds interesting.

50 hours... i think i've done more thna tha with a few friends in wow lvl grinding, we took 3 days vacation plus a weekend and all did the 70-80 grind over, none of us hit 80 in the 5 days but we all got close, and none of us really slept for more than a few hours a night, and i know some people did it in that timeframe.. while i have probly not done by these standards, some of the people who managed 80 in even less time i can't see them having pulled it off without doing those standards or harsher

pft, this isnt impressive. as others have said im certain everyone here could probably manage that feat. most of us have jobs, responsibilities, and lives that prevent that from happening.

I'm 28 now. Too old to try something like this. But back when I was in middle school, I would regularly play non-stop Friday afternoon until Sunday night. All I needed was a bag of pretzels and a gallon of fruit punch.

these guys are noobs. there was some korean kid that played WoW for 2 weeks straight.

of course he died after those two weeks, but he is the real record holder

[citation][nom]LORD_ORION[/nom]Also,In October of 2002 a 24 year old South Korean man called Kim Kyung-jae collapsed at an internet café. He had been playing an MMORPG called Mu for 86 hours pausing only to buy cigarettes or visit the toilet. He died from a combination of exhaustion and deep vein thrombosis.Read more: http://www.brighthub.com/video-gam [...] z0uPkUYs1aThese guys have nothing on that guy...[/citation]
Except that they are still alive.

50 hrs is not much compared to the monster 3 day,3 nighter i pulled off once when i was 20ish, playing privateer II - The darkening. I have NO idea how i managed to stay away. i know that i spend one week recuperating after that... more over we do regular 50 hrs in the office to get projects done. I love the remark at the end of the article, yeah you should analyse the time some people spent on WOW, that would raise a few eye brows for sure 😛
