3 possible issues.

1. Power board is faulty and fails on the boot test. "80% of the time"
2. Input board is faulty and fails on the boot test "18% of the time"
3. Firmware is corrupt and completely screwed up the self test. "2% of the time"

Power supply board is pretty cheap and worth the risk to replace, it's the best place to start.

I would open the TV up and give that board a look over, see if you can find any puffy capacitors for starters. I just repaired a Sony and Vizio with the exact issue and...

By saying that I am guessing you have never taken a new TV apart?

This is what I expect from someone that asked what is wrong with my TV.

Basic knowledge on not working with shit plugged in... Really this isn't the Simpsons.
Basic knowledge on how to use google and search for one of the thousands of videos showing you how to take apart similar models.

Really it's not that hard and I'm not going to tell everyone, hey you need to take that to a repair service which doesn't exist in most towns nowadays. If someone on a Tech forum ask me what is wrong I'm going to tell them and let them decide if they can do it or not, after all they can take that responsibility on deciding what their skill level is.

You have no idea how popular this topic is and how many people are willing to take that risk.
