6 ohm speakers with 300w home theater receiver

can I use my 6 ohm speakers with a 300w home theater receiver and that uses 8 ohm speakers?

Most systems will support 6 ohm speakers. You should be able to get away with it. Just don't go anything lower than 4 ohms.

8 ohm is relatively high for home theater. Most speakers are around 6 ohms. A 100W Per channel should work fine.
