60hz monitor work with this build?

This is my build for my pc: Intel Core i7 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 - 256GB Solid State Drive + 3TB Hard Drive

The 1070 will be able to play most games on max with that monitor. Games like crisis 3 will still fall right around 60-62 fps at 1440p so it's a great match really.

I thought that the 60hz would cap the fps at 60fps?

It will, but I'm pointing out that the limit of the card with the eye candy turned on for tougher games is almost perfectly matched to the 60 Mhz 1440p monitor.
