7.1. 5.1 amd 3D

Atm I have a siberia V2 stereo headset. I have been looking at some 7.1, 5.1 and 3D headsets. I read on some forum where some claimed that 7.1s and lower was fake and there wasn't really any difference. And if I were to go for any of this three types of headsets which should I choose, 7.1 - 5.1 or 3D?

I tried it and it didn't impress me at all... After uninstalling it my headset is fucked up, when i watch a youtube video i can barerely hear anything and the audio is weeeeird HELP?

Gaming wise, all 3D(5.1/7.1) sound is fake(simulated). It uses DSP(Digital Sound Processing) because the audio files would be huge for a game to use true discrete 5.1/7.1.

but by saying "simulated" is it really any better than a stereo headset? atleast the price difference is quite high

I'd say it's not any better bro. IFFF we're talking about games only ok. But if you watch movies like bluray, definitely better!
