70d to advanced for beginner?

I am getting a camera, would the 70d be to expensive and advanced for my first DSLR?

No not really, I just upgraded from XSi to 70D learning curve will be the same. What you get is a much better and solidly built camera than the beginner ones as they call them.

I think you'd get used to it fast. If you are very beginner, you can use automatic shooting mode.
I jost bough a Nikon d3200, my first dslr, and i get used to it easily.
