922 Info Requested

I have been using a 4DTV (model 922) for about three months now and
have a few problems and questions that I hope some of you might be
able to address. Still have a 'sidecar' that I abandoned, but that is
a different thread someday. What I'm seeing is intermittent,
sometimes extreme, pixilation on many C-Band digital channels. The
K-Band signals (Game Show channel for example) rarely give any problem
(so I think my antenna alignment is OK). While the C-Band digital
signals are breaking up, the analog ones appear solid as a rock.
Prior to this upgrade from the analog system, I upgraded my LNB to a
17 K 'Digital Ready' device (along with the K-Band capable feed and
its LNB). Seems reasonable to dismiss the 922 as the source of the
problem since the K-Band signals work so well. With the analog at
C-Band being always so solid, I'm not sure it is the C-Band LNB. Yet,
I wonder what else it could be? I'm about to buy a new C-Band LNB.
If I was to spend the bucks and get a PLL LNB with a noise figure in
the 20-25 K range, do you think that might be a reasonable knee-jerk
reaction? Perhaps I'm missing something significant.

Signals as I can find them, puzzle me. Examples:
Game Show X4 Ch 643 -65 dBm Sig Qual 1/69 (solid)
Animal C4 Ch 603 -65 dBm Sig Qual 43/69 (solid)
HBO2E W4 Ch 10 -65 dBm Sig Qual 139/69 (solid)
Show/W G0 Ch 101 -65 dBm Sig Qual 1/69 (breaking up)

These don't make any sense to me other than I understand why HBO is
solid, being analog. Any clues from this drivel?

Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ron

FWIW, in case someone else is having a similar problem. The PLL LNB
appears to have solved my problems. Low noise figures might be great,
but stability looks to be even better. Traded a 17 K LNB for a 20 K
one, but with about +/- 10 KHz stability instead of the wild thing
that was in there.

The following is a thread about a problem I was having with my 4DTV
signal. It contains a solution that worked for me.

Might as well follow up, even though it might not be of interest to
anyone currently. Maybe someday it will, if this thread can be found
by anyone needing it: After several months using the newer PLL LNB,
everything (C-Band digital and analog) has been rock solid. My wife
gets her chick flicks, so she's happy. That means I'm happy too.
But, this flawless video is causing an itch that might not be cured
until I get a new plasma TV :-(

Seems like an expensive solution. I have seen the oldest and the
cheapest of LNB's perform perfectly in hundreds of installations.
