940mx ddr5 with 720p or 940mx ddr3 with 1080p

I am looking to buy a laptop. I look forward to play some light gaming like Dota 2.
I found 2 laptops at almost the same price range.Both have the 7th gen i5.And 8gb ddr4 Ram. Both have 940mx gpu. But the probem is one with ddr5 version GPU has only a 720p hd display while the other is with a ddr3 940mx gpu and 1080 p FHD screen.
I hate when this s**t happens.
I want to know your opinions about which one will be better.

It would depend on the screen size. If these are 14" or 13" in laptops I would go with the better GDDR5 one and the lower panel resolution. If it is a 15" laptop, I would want the more pixels, even if I have to use even lower settings with the DDR3 GPU.
