So I have a laptop with an APU (HP Pavilion) . Is it possible to overclock my memory if I upgrade it from 1333 to 1600 MHz. If it is is there going to be a noticable performance boost ? (I want GTA 5 to be playable 30+ FPS on the lowest settings and resolution)

Solution
You can't overclock on a laptop, no such options in the BIOS as it's deliberately a cut-down version with very few options.
That's to stop you screwing things up and then expecting manufacturer to fix it.

Poor gaming performance is down to inadequate graphics adapter as much as RAM speed.
HP is not a good choice for gaming anyway (in fact that applies to laptops generally unless you get a gaming model).

Gaming is desktop PC (or console) territory.
