A laptop for work/entertainment

My old dusty laptop broke and I am currently thinking about purchasing a new one. It's been a while since I've read anything about laptops in general and was wondering what do I look at since now there are Chromebooks, netbooks etc. I use my desktop for editing and gaming, I need the laptop to use Microsoft Office, watch a video or a stream once in a while. I would also appreciate if it was lighter than most and not bigger than 16 inches considering I take it to work with me everyday, not looking to spend more than 400 euros.

No games on the laptop, as I said everything that requires real power I do at home on my desktop. I need the laptop for work with Microsoft Office and just to watch some videos/streams from time to time, I am just wondering what do I even look at since there are Chromebooks and netbooks both of which I have barely any knowledge of.
