A6 processior upgrade

I have a a6 3600 processior I was thinking of getting a new motherboard and getting a i7 or a i5
But I'm not sure if that will be a big upgrade I'm a gamer and want the best performance.

Specs
8gb ddr3 ram
Gtx 650ti 2gb
1tb hard drive
A6 3600


I7 or i5
And also a please recomend a motherboard please
Btw 4th gen processiors ONLY so socket 1150 not 1155 thanks
