Solved! A7s ii - can't figure out how to get autofocus to work

So I recently got my hands on an A7s ii and an Sony Planar T* FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA Lens, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the autofocus to work in video mode. All the appropriate settings seem to be turned on but yet it still doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
