Acer 5230E screen problem!

Hello,
My very new notebook(above), started giving some quirky screen problems when opening and at a certain point in the hinge it seems...my question though, are others having this problem? Is there a way to find out if there are recalls on this model with this problem? in the end I hope I am the only one with this defect!

It sounds like it could be a defective inverter. If the laptop is new, you can either return it or contact acer support, where they'll probably have you send it in for repair (free of charge, as it should be under warranty for one year).
