Acer 5750G (is it a good laptop)

Hi everyone, im new to this forum should of signed up along time ago but hey im here now lol. Anyway, awhile back i bought a Acer 5750g to play dragon age 1 and 2 and it seems like even if i play mass effect 1 it goes slow,
the Specs are

i7 2630qm 2ghz
Nvidia Geforce GT 540
6GB ram
and 750 hdd

Looks like your laptop is using internal graphics instead of a dedicated one. Probably a wrong power option setting. Go to power option and set it to High Performance. GT 540 should nail those games

Yeah i thought that also but when i put high performance on these games the laptop gets hot revs up and then turns off when it overheats
