Acer aspire 5710 screen problem

we have a two year old Acer Aspier laptop. The screen works normally for the first 10 minutes or so and then goes dark. You can just about make out what's on the display. We've tried chaning the brilliance etc to no effect

It appears that the back light is on the fritz. It would be best to find a computer repair service to replace it for you or if it is under warranty, send it in.
