Acer Aspire 5755G Laptop - Several Keys have stopped working -

All,

Several of the keys on my Acer Aspire laptop have stopped working.

These keys are - A,N,C,F,X, ";" and "." and "/" and Alt.

These keys stopped working a couple of days ago for an hour or so, but started working after a few hard taps. They have stopped working for about 5 seconds or so a couple of times since. but each time worked again after a few taps.

I have tried the following:

- Taking out the battery and holding down power-
- Restoring to a previous state-

I have loaded the screen keyboard and this works fine -

Any advice would be welcome - This laptop is no longer under warranty-

I have the same problem with the same exact keys. Have you found a solution yet?

i had the exactly same issue i had to replace the keyboard ( warranty).

someone posted to "Turn off the number-lock" -- I did it and now it works again. Still works when I turn the number lock back on... bizarre... I get the feeling I activated some kinda virus?!? (Just kidding about that - don't feel the need to reply to that).
