Acer Aspire E-1 572 Series Laptop backlight

Screen image can barely be seen. Works with external monitor. Can't find any videos for this model. Need some help figuring out how to replace backlight, or inverter. Am I right if this is LED that there is no inverter? Frustrated.

The results I see on Google refer to a recent model of laptop; as such it has an LED panel. LED panels (LED-backlit LCD to be precise) don't have a separate inverter. You'll have to replace the whole panel.

From what I can tell of the pictures there's a plastic bezel around the LED, with no visible screws. That means it's held in by plastic pieces that snap together (possibly with some adhesive also). You should be able to carefully pry it off. Then whatever screws that hold in the panel can be removed. OF course make sure the unit is off, and preferably unplugged with the battery removed. There should be a part number on the back of the LED panel.
