Acer Aspire One Sound in speakers & headphones

Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire One netbook. Cute lil' thing, me likes.

It's running WinXP.

I want to somehow configure it so when I play audio, the sound goes to both the headphone jack, and the onboard speakers. Right now, when headphones are plugged into the jack, it mutes the onboard speakers.

Anyone know how to do this?

Not possible, as far as I know. Sound cards are only capable of outputting to a single source at once.

umm, i have the opposite problem, right now i have my headphones plugged in and onboard speakers will are producing sound as if they weren't plugged in, and the headphones also produce sound normally

XXXXXXXXXXX....... same here, KraZy_Russian. The quality here is called "jack sense" - the speakers should mute when phone jack is plugged. Mine is an Acer 5253 running Ubuntu 11.04 (Linux).
Have you gotten any help on this....? I have not.
