Acer Aspire One ZG5 Ram not showing up!

Hi, I had 512mb of ram originally. I bought this off ebay:

and I installed it just now. On bios and in windows 7 it says 512mb ram. My processor is intel atom N270. Why isn't the 1gb stick showing up? please help. thanks

try only the 1gb stick in the laptop... you could have incompatible memory sticks (will not work together)

From the net, I believe this laptop only supports 1gb max memory. not sure if 2x512 or if 1x1gb will work.

in that case, you could try a bios update. Might fix your issue with ram.
