Acer Aspire V 15 V3-572G-543S ribbon cable broke

While trying to replace the HDD, one of the ribbon cable's broke. What should I do?

junkeymonkey, that is a laptop Kyler is using so those cables will not work.

Kyler, was that cable connected right to the motherboard?

well figured there was something he may of used ?? sorry about that anyway so it maybe one of them exclusive factory dealer items ?? I researched that and found no replacement parts offered looks like send it in to acer or shrug shoulders and move on to a new one

I was looking at the picture of it here and wonder if you can get that part # from off it [ from sticker that's on it with what looks like a barcode ] and contact acer for a replacement ??

Kyler, was that cable connected right to the motherboard?

The way the laptop opens up is you have to pry off the keyboard front, 4 ribbon cables are connected to the mobo from the keyboard. So yes.

It's not the one that runs on top of the HDD cage, it's a rust colored cable that connects next to the big blue one.

dang that link above is the only picture I found that shows the inside of the lap top and I guess that one been removed before the pic was took .

so I'm still with out a clue on that or what it looks like

Hey I just got this laptop and Im holding on opening it up until I receive an SSD to replace the HDD. What's your current situation with this computer? Any tips on opening the configuration/build?
