ACER Aspire v5 Screen keeps randomly going black then coming back on

My roommate's Aspire v5 works just fine otherwise, but will frequently lose picture. The sound will continue working, and sometimes the cursor will still appear, leading me to believe the problem isn't completely physical. I messed with the sleep/hibernation settings in Windows (10) and it began going to sleep instead of just blacking out. I changed everything back and it's back to just blacking out.

Does it think the lid is closing? Moving the lid does nothing at all to help.

Hi,

Try to adjust the Power Option once again.
- Right click on the battery icon and select Power Option.
- Click on "Change plan settings" on the power plan that is selected then click on "Change advanced power settings".
- Expand "Hard disk" then set it to Never
- Expand "Sleep" then the following:
Allow hybrid sleep: Off
Hibernate after: Never
- Click Apply and OK
- Lastly, check the Screen Saver mode as well and try to disable it then observe if the same problem will persist.
