Acer Extensa (5230)

Reset itself each few hours. This is one case. The other case, with the same laptop is that it powers on but on the first screen it freezes in half so there's even no chance to get in the bios. I tried changing ram etc., but what else it can be?

So, sometimes it will boot into Windows and then shut down, while the other half of the time it will not even make it to the Windows loading screen? Is the second occurrence (not making it to the loading screen) occurring right after an impromptu shut down? I ask because it could be shutting down due to overheating and trying to turn it on directly afterwards is the cause of the second problem.
