Acer Laptop new power cord battery charged won't power on

Acer E1-572-6870 Windows 10. Got new power cord. Battery charged. Tried hard reboot as well as removing battery and holding power button down and plugging back in with and without battery.

Blue light next to battery light lights up briefly but does not power on at all. Screen is not turned down. I don't know how to reset RAM. Thanks

Try the following and see if it will turn on.

1. First make sure the device has been charged.
2. Unplug your charger cord.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Press and hold the "Power" button for 30 seconds and see if the device will turn on.
5. If it does, great, if not yet, no big deal. Now plug back in the power/charger cord. (If it didn't turn on without the cord in, it should turn on once you it is in. Yes sometimes they will turn on, or try to turn on, even with nothing attached/plugged in.)
6. Now put the battery back in.

Should that not be the problem, then check the battery. Try running the laptop without it (some will, some won't) and if that doesn't work, then you may need to replace it.

NOTE: If you got an aftermarket cord, or choose to get an aftermarket battery, this can also be the problem. While aftermarket is great for many things, laptop charger cords and laptop batteries are not one of them. It is common for aftermarket cords to not put out enough power, and the same for batteries.

I've tried those steps but am not comfortable resetting the ram. The battery seems to charge, ran with just the plug, added the battery, removed the battery, pressed the power button again without charger or battery in and tried putting in just the battery.

Any other suggestions?

Well if it is under warranty still, you might want to try contacting the manufacturer before doing an internal work.

The warranty time is over it is about 3 years old but I'm not working now and our library is limited as to how long we can use computers even if no one else is waiting. :/ So I'm trying to get a job to get back on my feet and save for a new computer if at all possible.

I'm sure it was just some joker replying with a useless spam post that one of the mods has already removed, so by the time you get here you see nothing new. VERY common.
