Acer Laptop won't power on

My acer aspire laptop model 5250 won't power on after repeated attempts. I last used it was on a Saturday and that following Sunday morning it would not power on for no reason. When I press the power button the screen stays black, the power indicator lights up and then I get five beeps. and when I listened to them the beeps go: Beeep *pause*, Beeep *pause*, Beeep *pause*, Beep-Beep. I've tried checking other sites for information on the beeps to no success. I know it is not my HDD as I just replaced it after a recent HDD failure, and I tried replacing the RAM stick but its not that. Please help I have to important papers to finish typing and have to retrieve my portfolio. Thank you for your time.

As you must know...error beeps are ALWAYS a HARDWARE fault....

Multi beeps are almost always ...either ...cpu (rare fault) or motherboard (common)

Laptop repair shop for testing and diagnosis...

Check your laptop manual or Acer website for beep codes and what they mean, or contact Acer technical support.

This website lists most beep codes but you have to find what type of BIOS you have:

They say most Acer have a Phoenix BIOS (but you would really need to check your specific laptop to be sure). If that's true I couldn't find your specific beeps sequence there, according to their description and yours, it should be a 1-1-1-2 sequence but that's not listed:

i had the same problem till i bought a new acer 65w adapter at www.adapterkiosk.nl and now is working
