Acer laptop

Hello,
I can buy an Acer laptop from Newegg(Chinese division)for about $650. It comes with an i5-2410, 4gb 1333mhz memory, a 640gb HD, and a gt540m 1gb video card. Am I better off building a desktop to play ME3, Diablo 3 and the new Oblivion? Or do you think this laptop would be more than sufficient (and when compared to a similar desktop in price which would come out ahead?)

I am currently living in China, so I do not have options outside of Chinese Newegg, and I am on a time table on the Chinese Newegg. They do daily specials on items, and this special has 10 hours left before it will expire.

If anyone has any opinions on buying this laptop or building a desktop with an 15-2500k with similar specs to the laptop (instead of gt540m it would be a 6750 or 5750 dedicated video card) that would be great.

A $650 homebuilt desktop will game better than a $650 prebuilt laptop. However I'm not sure it's realistic to build an i5-2500k machine on $650.
