I've been using an Acer e5-511 and the other day I turned it on and it went after about 20 seconds of the Acer logo, - no bootable device. I tried a hard reset and I tried replacing the hard drive and neither worked. I think I need to reset the CMOS, but I'm not positive how to do it on this computer. Any advice?

Solution
If you go into the BIOS you will see a reset to defaults option. If it does not see even the new hard drive, it may very well be an issue with the drive connector on the laptop or motherboard issue.
