Acer pluged in and charging but not fully

Hi,
I have been trying to fully charge my battery for the last 3 months, and it went from 92% now down to 83%. It says its charging but does not go past 83% anymore. I never get the fully charged message anymore cause its still Charging for hours at a time but staying at 83%. what is the issue. This is an acer notebook

I had the same problem on a Dell, had to replace battery!
