Acer restore error

I Entered bios and factory reset but ever time i try the restore goes fine but the updating process fails and says: WIMApplyimage fail. Error 0x45D (1117), FAIL to restore increment image. My laptop had windows 7 home premium, but after the failed restore i have windows 7 home basic, the laptop keeps coming up with blue screen and then operating system not found after 5 mins of using it or so. Please help.

Which Acer? I'm going to say you have a dead/dying MB or drive if it works for 5 mins and then BSODs.
