I'm thinking of buying a new ACER TIMELINEX notebook but does it's battery life last upto 8 hous if i use Adobe Photoshop CS5 ?

Looking over a couple reviews of several different Timeline X models it's pretty clear

It will certainly NOT last 8 hours using Adobe Photoshop CS5.

You'll be lucky to get 4 hours in high performance mode like CS5 probably requires.

agreed for just web surfing i get a little over close to 6 hours i do have an ssd. without one friends of mine say they get around 4.45 close to 5. And if i just take notes i get around 8 hours easy. Watching video I think i was able to watch a good 3 hours on like 80% battery before it turned off (thru video). I took out my dvd drive and put the hard drive in there. So its a ssd + hdd combo.
