Acer vs Asus Laptops

I'm looking for a laptop for school and casual gaming, and I've narrowed it down to two laptops; Acer E5-573g and the Asus X550ZA-WH11. The Acer laptop has better specs with a much better GPU and I've read it's a great deal for the price, but I've also read that Asus laptops last a long time and are more reliable. This is for when I am away from home/desktop. Is Asus better enough to not get the awesome Acer laptop? Any thoughts?

Have had nothing but problems with Acer. I've had to send back ever Acer laptop that I've bought apart from one.
I would steer clear of their product especially for school (Don't want to lose all your work!)


Switched to ASUS and have not had an issue since. Would definitely recommend.
