Add HDMI port to laptop board?

So I own a Compaq Presario CQ60, with a HDMI port that is filled in with a piece of plastic.

After disassembling the laptop, I found that the board actually has the solder points for an HDMI port. Being that it has one, it could potentially work right? Like I know it would take a lot of effort probably, but being that the pins are separated a good amount I feel like this wouldn't be to hard to do. Not to mention, I have seen people upgrade BGA processors.

Just curious on your thoughts, if it could work or not

Thanks! :)

Just because you can add an HDMI port doesn't mean you'll be able to use it. The reason the port is filled with plastic is because that function is disabled from the factory.

Ah okay, I guess that makes sense. I still want to attempt it though, just to see. I mean this laptop isn't my main so it wouldn't kill me if I damaged the board(I got spares anyway)

Maybe I could stick a USB 2.0 port in place of it? Would it work to wire a USB port to another USB Port's contacts? I know it won't look pretty but being that there is a cutout in the case,I just wanna put something in the place of it and have some function.
