I have an Optima digital projector that has the convenient capability of playing video files from a USB stick, SD card or even from on board the projector itself. However, very inconveniently, the only audio out provided for any of these video options is just a crappy little 1" speaker on the side of the projector. In other words, there are many video in jacks on the device, but not any audio out jacks.
I am wanting to add an audio out jack (1/8" mini phone jack) in order to send audio to a larger sound system when playing video from on board or from a memory stick.
Would I just bypass the leads to the speaker sending them to the jack I'm adding? I suppose I would be just getting a stereo mix to mono (since there is only one speaker), but it would certainly be better than the speaker.
Mind you, when playing from a computer this is, of course, not an issue because the audio comes from the computer itself.
