I have an Onkyo TX 8050 receiver with two wired speakers. I am thinking of adding wireless speakers to play the same music (from my turntable and CD changer) in another room. I would also like to stream from iPhone/iPad without having to plug into USB. Is there a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver that I can use for this? Would I need anything else? I found the Bluetooth dongle manufactured by Onkyo, but it doesn't seem to help with adding the speakers, and it's frightfully expensive! Any help is much appreciated!

Solution
You would need two BT devices:
- a transmitter connected to eg Tape OUT for your sattelite speakers
- a receiver connected to eg CD IN for your iPhone
Each of these can be had for like $30

I have a BT dongle (receiver) by Onkyo, but it plugs into USB port and is supported by receiver' firmware.

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply! I had hoped there was one device that would do both, but it's reassuring to know I haven't just missed something. Also helpful to know which ports to use. Thanks again!
