I have an Insprion 3521, I am trying to add two screens with HDMI connections to the Laptop. I currently have them hooked up to a HDMI 1x2 Spiltter. The Laptop screen has a picture on it and then the other two screens have the same picture. What do I need to do to get the second and Third screen to have different pictures?

Okay. Like I said earlier, if you only have one HDMI output and nothing else on your laptop, I think you will only be able to use one external monitor to have different screens shown on your laptop and external monitor. The HDMI splitter would just send the same signal to both external monitors. Here is an article explaining how to set up your external monitor:

A miracle? What other outputs/inputs do you have on your laptop/monitors? You could go vga to vga on one of the external monitors, for example. I have a feeling you are only going to get one external monitor to have a picture different than your laptop monitor (the second external will still have the same picture as the first external, if HDMI is your laptop's only video output).

What OS are you running (Win 8, Win 10)?
