Hello,
what type of motherboard does the roma 1001 have

If you believe that the motherboard is shot, it would probably be best to take the laptop apart to see if you can ascertain a serial number/brand on the mobo. It beats guessing at this point.

And if the unit still works, you can use a tool like Belarc Advisor to find the motherboard model in the system without actually opening it up.
