Advice on 32" 1080p TV's

I'm looking for a cheapish 32" LCD TV for my Dad, who is upgrading from a very old non HD tv.

It seems very close in price to get 1080p over 720p so I'd figured I get it. Wonder what people think about these two, or if there are any other good 1080p 32's at this price range.
