I was wondering about this but for $100 is the Sony SA-W2500 a good sub for music listening?

Or does no one know anything about this sub and how it sounds? Just wanted to know if they sound good for $100. I know they aren't going to sound the best but for $100 are they great?

I see 18 views on this topic but no one knows about this sub and others that are $100? I just wanted to know if the Sony sub is a good $100 sub and is better than other $100 or less subs.

Most cheap subwoofers are going to be very boomy which for most music listening will make them hard to listen to. You want more than just rumble for music; you need to hear notes. Buy it and try it. Make sure you can return it if it doesn't work for you.
You want a sub that has a forward not down firing speaker that you can see with the grille off. Some subs have only a port that sound comes out of with the speaker inside so you never actually hear the speaker only the port. This produces one note bass. Not good. Don't worry about the power spec as it is usually not accurate.
