Solved! After ctrl alt del i cant reboot

i was having some problems with my gateway laptop The message i kept getting was NO OPERATING SYSTEM found no matter what i did i couldnt fix it. After several attempts i did ctrl alt del and now I cant restart my laptop PLEASE HELP if at all possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try booting from the Rescue CD you made when you first got the laptop.

I have moved and can not find my CDs for it. I have looked all day for them

OK, what model of Gateway do you have?
And what version of windows are you using?


Do you have any bootable CDs laying around?
If not, you can make a bootable CD or USB thumb drive.

It's not Windows, but it's a full, complete OS that will let you rescue important files and data off your gateway.

sounds like the hdd is failing - back up your data if you can boot into windows and test your hardware out

if its a new SSD try updating the firmware..
