hello
please guide me
my friend have old laptop n5030 dell
he wanted to upgrade the ram of lap tap

but when he put new ram then the laptop not boot
after that put old ram then laptop start boot again
the new ram is atech 4 gb 1600 1.35 v
we thought maybe this n5030 only support 1333 & can't downgrade 1600 to 13333
but the crucial company make 1600 1.35 v frequency for this laptop n5030
in this link www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Dell/inspiron-n5030
i want to know how can we fix this problem
thank you

You can't change the RAM spec, if it would have worked with the laptop it would have automatically dropped down in speed to match the other RAM and motherboard bus speed.
Try doing a BIOS update and see if that helps. Also try the new RAM on it's own without the old one.

If that does not help, your option is to get it from Crucial so you can return it easier if it does not work, or get the same RAM spec that is in the system now.
