AKG K240

Hi, I'm looking at buying a pair of AKG K240, not the mkii but the originals. They are $70 on Amazon brand new and i was wondering if they would be a good deal for that price. Also if anyone has a pair of them how are they overall? Then finally if there is something better for that price or below please let me know. Thanks in advance

I've been usin them for 25 years, then bought Sennheiser HD-580, then AKG-K601and were using all three with satisfaction. AKG K240 were widely used in recording studios for monitoring so it's hard to go wrong with the industry standard.
However, remember that headphones are like musical instruments and sound different. I mean really different, not as amps, cd players or cables. So auditioning before purchase is recommended.
