Alienware 17 max performance configuration

Hi,
I recently purchased Alienware 17 2014 laptop with specs as follows,

i7 4710mq 2.5 ghz,
16 Gb ddr3 1600mhz ram,
NVIDIA gtx 880m 8 Gb gddr5,
1tb hdd w/ 256 Gb ssd,
A 120hz display w/ 3d,

I ran assassin's creed black flag, farcry 3, crysis 3, battlefield 4, and FIFA 14, but they started lagging as soon as i removed the battery charger. I have seen its fps go up to 50-60 on the internet. Then, how to configure it for max performance?

Did that. Even though I'm getting poor fps on demanding games like dragon age inquisition, dying light etc even though it's charging on high performance
