Alienware 17 R4 (GTX 1070) Low FPS Issues

Specification of my Alienware 17 R4.

Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz
GTX 1070 (6GB)
8GB Ram

The issue I am having.

I have used http/www.notebookcheck.net/GTA-V-Benchmarked.140881.0.html as a reference to the performance I think I should be getting with my card.

Cranking up everything to ultra settings the same as they have shown on their pictures. (Shown in the link above.)

They seem to be getting 64.7 Fps on their system with a laptop GTX 1070.

Now from my understanding the only difference between the model they used to benchmark the result was that it had an Intel Core i7-6820HK 3.8 GHz.

When I use those setting I am getting 20 - 25 FPS. This seems a bit shocking for me and would like to know if this is expected?

1. Might be unlikely, but *maybe* you did not turn on the GPU (lot of people received the laptops with GPU off by default, and need to hit Fn + F7 to get it going)
2. The laptops shipped with outdated drivers, so you could upgrade to the latest drivers and see if that helps
3. Not sure if you got the FHD or 4K display. That could make a difference.

Also, did you get the GTX 1070 or 1060? You mentioned 6GB RAM, but I the 1070 starts off at 8GB.

I'm planning to get one of these myself. Let me know if you figured out the issue.

on what game? how the temps look? What is the cpu usage during the game?
