Alienware Dims And Lowers Fps

So my girlfriend bought me an alienware 13 r2 the specs are
i7 6500 u
16gb ram
gtx 960m
windows

So my problem is i cant play while on battery because every 20 to 45 seconds playing a game while on battery my screen dims and the performance of the laptop goes down. I changed every power options, graphics properties, i changed my global and program settings to high performance, i change power options in the alienware fusion and nothing seems to do the job? i also disabled the adaptive brightness settings.

My Drivers are up to date
I Can't return this laptop because the store we bought it from just recently closed

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once completely uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.

- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do set Nvidia as the default GPU.
