Alienware Hard Drive Damages Windows 8 Install

I damaged my Alienware laptop and am replacing the hard drive. I've been told windows 8 is not on the resource DVD provided by Alienware. I am wondering how I will install Windows 8 onto the new hard drive. I've seen in the Dell support forums that the product code is contained within the bios of the machine (on the motherboard), but the details on how this functions are unclear. Does anyone have any experience with this?
