Question Alternating charge state;

Hello; I have an Alienware 17r4.
I'm running windows 10.

I started having an issue where, WHILE plugged in and power functional, my unit would alternate between charging and not charging.
Charging state shifts every 5-30 seconds roughly.
This happens regardless of activity levels.
No known event correlation that I'm aware of caused it to start happening.

I have replaced;
Internal DC line/port
battery
Charge cable
and my cpu fan (the bearings were going out so I figured....just in case, and needed done anyways.)

I've checked for any visible damage, and made sure that the mobo is mounted properly.

Any constructive advice on what else I can try other than replace the mobo?

I wouldn't worry about this personally. Somewhat odd behavior but if everything else is ok, likely not a concern. Can you tie when this started to a particular event?

Nope; which is annoying.
I would ignore it except it results in low battery after a bit if I'm doing anything remotely intensive, and then alerts popping up warning me that it's almost dead and eventually just dying on me. While plugged in.

Does this only happen when doing something, like when gaming? Or, does it do all the time?

Are you using an authentic Dell power supply?
